Native resolution 256 by 192 with no filtering or additive blending.  We had a budget of 1800 polygons/frame that had to include all objects, characters, guns, environments and effects.  The effect textures are 3 bit color 5 bit alpha.   I designed and produced all of the effects for the game, single and multiplayer, and the art and animation of the Samus and Weavel first person weapons.
